Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within financial constraints. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles and the ability to effectively negotiate contracts.

Duties

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines.
Conduct cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
Utilize software tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam for estimating and project management tasks.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and any changes in costs.

Skills

Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and methodologies.
Proficiency in construction management principles.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors.
Ability to analyze costs accurately and manage budgets effectively.
Familiarity with project management practices related to construction projects.
Experience using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam is preferred.
Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
