Your Mission

You don’t need to have x-ray vision or know how to fly, but you do need superhuman people skills to be successful in this role.
As the General Manager, you must have the influence and accountability for the total operation, style and culture of the property. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of ethical leadership to lead the property to achieve its business goals, but you will also be the brand ambassador of how the Virgin Hotels brand come to life within your location. What does that mean? Not only will you be responsible for leading the day-to-day culture within the hotel, but you will be in charge of the look, feel and ambience of the hotel as a whole, ensuring that design standards are met, uniforms are on point, and that the guest experience is flawless throughout the entire customer experience. We definitely are a little different, if you are expecting to wear a tie, you are in the wrong place.
You will also be required to lead a team, communicate, coordinate and work well with other teammates, managers and guests. Most of all, we want you to have FUN since you will play a huge role in creating that memorable guest experience!

Responsibilities
In helping you understand your role in working for a world class organization, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities. Please keep in mind that this list is not all inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your manager not listed below in the constant quest to provide “out of this world” customer service experience for our guests:
- Responsible for the overall performance of the properties operations to include but not limited to P&L, Guest Satisfaction, Brand Quality Assurance, Budget and Labor
- Executes the training of all teammates as it relates to brand and company standards to maximize revenues and service culture
- Be responsible for maintaining compliance and up to date on new initiatives for the brand and company
- Be aware of and in compliance of all employment laws of your area or region of the country
- Maintain positive relationships with Management company, Property owners and clients
- Support and inspect for safety and security standards are being maintained
- Support guest experience and satisfaction in all operations
- Works closely with corporate teams in People, Accounting, Revenue Management, Sales and leadership to ensure property and company goals are being achieved
- Act as the face of the property by being actively involved in the local community
What qualities are we looking for?

- Previous General Manager experience required
- Candidates must possess the skills and experience to lead a team to consistently deliver exceptional guest service
- Have a proven track record of meeting budgets, understanding P&L statements, and cost controls
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Development of salaried managers and hourly staff
- Actively support the Sales and Marketing effort
- Maintain a high quality product
- Ensure that hotel policies and brand standards are followed
- The General Manager will be responsible for day to day operations of the hotel, ensuring guest and associate satisfaction is of utmost importance.
Background Must-have
- Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
- A minimum of three years of experience as a hotel General Manager of a luxury lifestyle/boutique hotel
- Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
- Previous hotel management experience with-in other disciplines is highly desired
