The Drafting position is open within the AGI Packaged Pump Systems division located in Lafayette, LA. AGI PPS designed, engineers, and builds process pump systems, vapor recovery, and compression systems for customers worldwide.
Job Summary
Responsible for producing construction drawings for clients and the fabrication shop.

Requirements
Who You Are:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years' experience in drafting or related field
- Ability to understand P&IDs and fabrication shop drawings preferred
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor preferred
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Attend the initial design meeting for each project with appropriate personnel.
- Create 3D model by drawing parts from BOM/Cut sheets while following P&IDs, and conceptual, piping, and fitting specifications.
- Attend review meetings with appropriate personnel to review the model against conceptual, P&IDs and quoted hours; make adjustments as needed.
- Create 2D drawings from 3D model by creating a plan and elevation drawing, skid drawing, tank drawing, and isometric drawing and completing the BOM.
- Coordinate with the Drafting Manager when drawings are ready to be reviewed.
- Attend meetings to review final drawings and compare quoted hours while making necessary adjustments based on input received.
- Meet with appropriate personnel to review client mark ups and make adjustments for resubmission to the client.
- Issue drawings and BOM to Fabrication Shop and Procurement Manager.
- Assist Fabrication shop with questions or issues on drawings.
- Create as-built drawings from actual completed package; measuring customer tie-ins and adjusting drawings according to changes then send to PM for submission as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by appropriate personnel.
