Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of experience or training in clerical work, housing management, real estate, or social services.
Experience Substitution:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Keeps records and prepares reports related to the assistance of families, housing assistance payments, participating landlords, and renting units.
Interviews and advises applicants seeking admission to the housing program, and counsels tenants to ensure compliance with Tenant Occupancy Regulations.
May prepare applications on behalf of applicants; reviews all documents required of applicants.
Certifies the eligibility of applicants and assigns them to proper housing.
Maintains documentation according to established program guidelines.
Verifies income and housing status through written inquiry or telephone contacts.
Makes computations to determine eligibility and re-certifications.
May assist in resolving complaints from tenants by conducting informal counseling.
Answers public inquiries and provides information related to the housing programs both orally and in writing.
Conducts workshops and makes presentations to owners and tenants about the housing program.
Maintains computerized records and databases on client and housing information.
May prepare requisitions for the purchase of supplies or materials.
Adjusts and collects rent according to established policy.
May perform inspections on housing units in the program, coordinates to make necessary repairs within a specified length of time, and re-inspects the unit to assure compliance with rules and regulations.
