All departments are responsible for preparing and fulfilling orders as necessary, helping in all areas of the department, maintaining a clean and functioning work area, and communicating diligently with coworkers and management.
Position: Package Scanner
The Package Scanner is responsible for scanning all completed orders, logging them into the system and placing them in the correct shipping provider container for pick up and shipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Scan all packages completed by production departments ready for shipment

Retrieve packages from each department daily

Load and unload deliveries

Ensure all packages are logged in system

Separate packages in bins based on shipping providers responsible for shipping packages

Assist in other areas of the Inventory and Shipping and Receiving Department and other departments as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to use computers and software to log packages

Ability to use a handheld barcode scanner
Education and Experience:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Experience in a production and/or warehouse environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
-
Prolonged periods of working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending or stooping.

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time.

Visual acuity to read instructions and operate computers
