Base pay starts at $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
Shift: First Shift
JOB DETAILS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate production machinery following prints and specifications. Machines may include Roll formers, Trim Brakes, Slitters, Coil Tippers, Snips, Lathes, Grinders, and similar equipment
- Manufacture the specified quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
- Utilize precision tools to measure finished parts, ensuring compliance with functional, quality, and cosmetic requirements
- Keep records of produced units, including details of any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces
- Conduct equipment inspections before use to ensure proper setup and alignment; perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Complete any other assigned related duties
Qualifications

- Qualified individual will be responsible for the safety of self and Team. Must adhere to, promote, and enforce CBB Safety Culture
- Manage the scheduling activities of the production floor reporting to the Operations Planner with focus on established procedures and approved processes
- Able to identify personnel shortages from day to day
- Supervise all production scheduling operations in your department so they are producing on schedule to be loaded and shipped on time
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver quality manufactured products in a timely fashion
- The ideal candidate will be a highly effective communicator with a desire to develop, mentor, and lead a safe, efficient, and motivated team to achieve production goals.
- Continuously seek new and innovative ways to solve problems while maintaining focus on continuous improvement
- Support team members to implement quality and productivity improvements through continuous improvement projects
- Assist with Human Resources related functions, including employee hiring and retention, performance reviews, progressive discipline, and enforcement of Cornerstone’s policies and procedures
- Emphasis in developing labor cost reduction system as well as maximizing efficiency
- Preferred, 2+ years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing
- On-the-job training completion may substitute for educational requirements
- Preferred, but willing to train the right candidate: Forklift Operation
- Extended periods of standing, tool use, and repetitive actions involving frequent bending and stooping
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- Visual acuity necessary for reading instructions, operating machinery, and inspecting produced parts
- This position is required to work in a manufacturing environment facility
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts with risk of injury and risk of electrical shock
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
