The PA will provide high-quality patient care to all patients in collaboration with other staff members to ensure that all patient needs are met. To provide care based on physical, psycho/social, and educational needs appropriate to all ages of patients. The PA will practice medical services as directed by the Medical Director or approved supervising physicians as long as they are within the scope of practice set by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (for Physician Assistants). The Physician Assistants will always abide by the standards and laws governing their certifications. The Physician Assistant is responsible for keeping all certifications and licenses current at all times.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Medicine or Health Sciences or graduate of an Approved Physician Assistant Training Program
- NCCPA Certified
- Current Louisiana State Licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Current BLS, PALS and ACLS Certification
- Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment
