Position Summary: The Field Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the equipment and processes of AFCO’s water pretreatment plant. This role ensures that all processes comply with environmental regulations and standards, and that treated water meets quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor wastewater pretreatment equipment and systems.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment.
- Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and make necessary adjustments to treatment processes.
- Adjust chemical dosages and treatment processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and laboratory results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with treatment processes and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Project Leaders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in wastewater treatment preferred.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 50 per week
