BRIEF POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) in the Cybersecurity (CS) group at Entergy is responsible for the project management function of multiple projects in a program of related security projects. The SPM is responsible for all aspects of project management of highly complex, highly technical, and high visibility project(s) over the entire life of the initiative. The SPM may be responsible for multiple projects at one time and may both directly manage individual projects and oversee other contract project managers, direct project work teams, and oversee vendor engagements.
The SPM understands complicated business objectives, IS/IT systems, project financials, and scope to assemble a team to deliver superior results for their project(s) utilizing project management processes. The SPM works closely with accountable Solution Delivery leaders, contracted vendors, business and technical resources in the IS, IT, and other business unit organizations to ensure assigned project(s) deliver on business objectives and value. The SPM manages scope, schedule, resources, budget, risks, and issues. This position requires strong knowledge of technology processes, project cost controls / financials, and implementation procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty:
Provide Project Management oversight of multiple complex project initiatives.
Support business functional leaders in the development and execution of strategic initiatives.
Lead cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of business-critical projects / programs.
Manage projects in alignment with solution owner and leadership direction.
Manage projects in compliance with internal and external regulations, standards, policies, processes, and procedures such as the IS Program Management Office (IS-PMO), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (NERC CIP), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Nuclear Cyber.
Manage the project life cycle throughout initiation, planning, execution, monitor & control, and closure utilizing project management processes, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
Drive process excellence through the optimization of project management best practices and methodologies to promote execution effectiveness. Participate in Continuous Improvement and process improvement initiatives within the team. Proactively find and implement efficiencies.
Manage risks and issues across multiple strategic projects to identify critical risks and challenge risk assumptions early to develop effective mitigation plans, escalations, and resolutions.
Apply the appropriate level of process rigor to facilitate change control decisions which impact project scope and deliverables and drive alignment of key stakeholders.
Assess, plan, and manage change management plans for implications associated with the implementation of strategic projects and which support full realization of project benefits.
Provide accurate and clear written and oral communications with the appropriate information relative to the stakeholder’s role. Provide meaningful project status updates for consumption by leaders, stakeholders, and project teams to inform business decisions.
Manage complex project financials, project cost controls, and procurement activities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 4 years as a project manager, program manager (preferred experience in Information Security project management). Leadership experience directing resources and managing work across multiple teams and people is required.
Project management certifications such as PMP are preferred, or equivalent knowledge, education, and experience. Must demonstrate mastery of project / program management tools and methodologies.
Must have experience with Project Scheduling Software (P6 preferred) to directly create and manage schedules. Experienced with executive Timeline Creation, Communication, and Management.
Experienced with communications and engagement at multiple levels: technical individual contributors, contractors, vendors, management, and executive management.
Some knowledge of information security standards (such as NIST-CSF) and the ramifications of energy-related regulations (SOX, HIPAA, NERC CIP, FERC, NRC) is preferred.
Must be proficient in office tools such as Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Must be proficient with meeting scheduling, meeting facilitation, and collaboration tools including on-line meetings, instant messaging, and video conferencing.
Strong understanding and a minimum of 2 years of experience managing complex project cost controls including the ability to track, forecast, and reconcile project financial data.
Experienced with procurement processes including contract and vendor management.
Available to travel as needed, be available, and able to work irregular hours for project go-lives and deadlines.
Must be able to report to the Entergy office as required during normal working hours for collaboration meetings and on-site events and must satisfy residency requirements per Entergy's Work Location Flexibility policy.
Must be able to work from home in a low-noise, relatively distraction-free home office environment with high network bandwidth and to be available during normal business hours except for excused absences.

Ability and willingness to problem-solve, prioritize, negotiate, and manage changing deadlines and priorities.
Ability to plan, track, and assign work to assure that project resources know what is required of them, when it is due, and instill accountability to completing tasks while maintaining a collaborative, positive work atmosphere.
Proven ability as a strategic partner with strong business acumen to liaison with internal, cross-functional, and external teams. Able to motivate others through influence, to challenge assumptions, and work collaboratively as a relationship builder to successfully lead multi-functional teams through project lifecycle stages.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present analytical data to a variety of audiences. Demonstrates a consistently high-level of communication with all levels of leadership.
Demonstrated project management competencies and mastery of project management & PMO frameworks.
Ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.
