Summary/Purpose
A core function of the IT Collaboration team, the IT Consultant, SR – Collaboration, drives strategic and engineering direction for the collaboration experience within the Workplace Services team. This role will work closely with administrators of key platforms like M365, Cisco, and A/V, vendors, project teams, and cross-functional business teams to deliver high quality collaboration experiences for end users throughout Entergy. This role will serve as the administrator for Microsoft Teams, working to implement standards, best practices and governance.
Job Duties/Responsibilities :
Manage support teams and vendors that support Microsoft Teams and the tools that integration and support collaboration throughout Teams.
Work closely with IT Collaboration Manager to build and implement strategic plans to improve the collaboration experience for users.
Build business cases and deploy projects as required to support Microsoft Teams and the collaboration experience roadmap.
Develop relationships with key vendors and stakeholders to support the collaboration experience and the implementation of Microsoft Teams.
Troubleshoot detailed and complex hardware issues as the final escalation level.
Collaborate with critical system administrators in areas like O365, Cisco Webex, A/V, Workspace ONE, etc to ensure the overarching collaboration experience meets the needs Entergy users.
Ensure implementations are secure through strong partnerships with Cybersecurity, Chief Security Office, and other critical security organizations within Entergy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum education required of the position
Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (Computer Science or related filed) or equivalent work experience.
Minimum experience required of the position
5+ years’ experience architecting, building, and delivering enterprise class collaboration tools; Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex
2+ years’ experience collaboration tools; Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex,
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Strong working knowledge of infrastructure and software development lifecycle and methodologies, demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, experience in service delivery in highly outsourced environments, and in-depth knowledge of multiple technologies aligned with IT standards
Knowledge of all areas of the end user and collaboration platforms
Knowledge of current IT Workplace computing and collaboration trends
Ability to quickly adapt to changing events and priorities and realign resources as needed
Ability to translate complex technical information into terms and products useful to Business Unit leaders and other non-technical team leaders
Excellent social, verbal, and written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively present analytical data to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
Comfortable working in high stress and ambiguous environments
Capable of meeting deadlines and budgets
