Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically excavators, to perform various tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes and the ability to work efficiently and safely in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy machinery, including Caterpillar equipment, to perform excavation tasks.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Perform backhoe operation for digging trenches, foundations, and other necessary earthworks.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections and minor repairs as necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proficient in operating excavators with a strong understanding of their mechanics.
- Experience with excavators
- Familiarity with commercial driving practices, including tanker operations.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards on construction sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various team members on the job site.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 - $34.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Home daily
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Rotating weekends
