Job Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for analyzing and performing preventative maintenance inspections and services on various machines and equipment on site. He /She will report to the Reliability Manager and interface with the Vibrations Analysts, Maintenance Supervisors, and Operations Supervisors.
Essential Functions
- Manually collect vibration data using a commtest handheld data collector.
- Manually collect monthly oil samples.
- Perform infrared surveys to gather temperature profiles of various equipment.
- Must have basic understanding of pumps, gearboxes, turbines, compressors, fans, conveyors, electric motors, and other types of rotating equipment.
- Must have basic understanding of lubricating oil and grease
- Has to be proficient in problem solving and have a basic understanding of process systems.
- Proficient in written communications.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have Safety Awareness.
Education/Training Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related degree
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in this field
Work Environment
- External – Working outside in the elements – rain, cold, heat – dusty environment.
- Internally – Office environment.
Physical Demands
- May be required to walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- May have to bend, stoop, kneel, reach and climb.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
