Overview
Large commercial plumbing company is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the estimating/managing process for various plumbing projects. This position requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction management, and proficiency in cost control and project management in commercial plumbing. The Estimator/Project Manager will ensure that all estimates are accurate, timely, and aligned with company standards.
Duties
- Lead and manage the estimating team to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
- Collaborate with estimators/project managers to develop budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather relevant information for accurate pricing.
- Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure quality work.
- Review contracts and proposals to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators/project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in estimating/project managing, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
- Strong knowledge of cost control practices within the construction industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across various teams.
- Experience estimating/project managing teams or leading projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and safety protocols is a plus.
