POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in the installation of stage decks as assigned by the Deck Krewe Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the installation of stage decks as directed by the Deck Krewe Coordinator, adhering to OSHA standards and Jazz Fest safety protocols.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Using the Absentee Request Form, it is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism to the Festival Finance Office.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
- Give any document, computer program, design, or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival (and, therefore, belonging to the Jazz Festival) to the Festival through your
- supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
- Attend and complete any required training.
- Complete all required Feedback Forms and Final Reports.
- Must attend and complete any required training.
- Perform all other work-related duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Preferably possess prior experience in construction procedures.
- Familiarity with construction tools.
- Ability to engage in heavy lifting and sustain physical stamina.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and proficiency in safely operating a pickup truck, UTV, and golf cart.
- Willingness to follow directives and work as instructed.
- Capacity to endure extended hours in a dynamic, high-pressure production environment, including the ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
$20 per hour
