Job Title: Press Operator
Reports to: Foreman
Location: Jeanerette
Status: Hourly
Hours: Full Time, 6:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. M-F, 40 hours per week
Potential for overtime on Weekdays and Weekends
Education or Required Experience:
· Some experience reading blue prints
· Minimal experience operating press brake
Required Skills:
· Possess strong attention to detail in order to aid Metal Shark’s strong quality assurance program
· Basic math skills with the ability to read a tape measure accurately
· Demonstrates strong work ethic
· Must be able to operate power tools (grinders, saws, sanders, etc.)
· Keep a clean and maintained work area
· Able to take and understand directions from others
· Ability to keep material free of defect and up to QA standards
· Willing and able to learn to operate press brake
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks. Must be able to work 50+ hours when needed. Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
