We are currently seeking a dedicated Security Officer with a medical orderly background to provide safety, support, and assistance to an elder client who requires a combination of security presence and medical orderly expertise.
Job Summary:
As a Security Officer with a medical orderly background, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the client while also providing assistance with basic medical and daily living needs. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to obtain and hold a Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners (LSBPSE) security guard license.
- Provide a professional security presence to ensure the safety and well-being of the client.
- Assist the client with mobility, personal care, and daily living tasks as needed.
- Monitor the client’s environment for safety hazards and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Conduct routine security checks and maintain awareness of surroundings to deter potential threats.
- Handle medical emergencies by providing first aid or assisting emergency medical services when necessary.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the client, family members, and other caregivers to ensure cohesive support.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a security officer, medical orderly, or in a similar dual-role capacity.
- Able to obtain and hold a Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners (LSBPSE) security guard license
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Physical fitness to assist with mobility and handle security responsibilities.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
- Background in elder care or medical assistance is a plus.
Work Schedule:
- 35 Hour Weeks; specific shifts to be determined based on client needs.
