OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Our client a therapeutic boarding school is seeking a Director of Operations to join them. The Director of Operations oversees the day-to-day operations ensuring efficient and effective service delivery in compliance with regulatory standards. The role works under the supervision of the Executive Director. The operations Director provides operational policy and systems refinement toward continual improvement. This individual will lead operational planning, staff management, quality assurance, and the implementation of strategic initiatives to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a behavioral health field preferred
At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare or behavioral health operations. Experience with adolescent population, preferably in residential treatment

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
• Oversee all operational activities, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and systems to optimize operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations governing behavioral health services
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure seamless integration of administrative and clinical operations
Staff Management
• Supervise department heads and vendors, including administrative, residential, facilities, clinical, and program teams
• Recruit, train, and retain a high-performing operations team
• Oversee staff onboarding, training and continuing education
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to support professional growth
Financial Management
• Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and optimize resource allocation
• Monitor operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality
• Assist in book keeping, vendor contract negotiations, and funding proposals related to operations
• Coordinate communications with CFO and CPA firm
Quality Assurance and Accreditation compliance
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators(KPIs) to asses operational efficiency and program
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, including accreditation requirement of the Joint Commission
- Guide on-site reviews by DHS, OSFM, DOE and JCAHCO
- Lead incident management, risk mitigation, and safety initiatives across the organization
- Oversee contracted pharmacy medication management system
Strategic Planning
- contribute to the development and execution of the organizations Strategic plan
- Identify and implement new technologies to enhance operational effectiveness
- Support business development efforts, including referral relationships
Facilities and Technology
- oversee facility management to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff
- Ensure technological infrastructure supports operational and clinical needs
- Manage vendors and contracts for operational services
- Coordinate data entry and storage protocol and oversee document versioning
- Oversee CRM software, e-mail accounts and website products
- Oversee management of office technology, computer systems and data storage
