Description
Vice President of Industrial Business Development
The Vice President of Industrial Business Development is responsible for driving growth in the industrial sector for our architectural and engineering firm. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in the construction industry, particularly in environmental consulting and compliance, with demonstrated success in business development. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and ensuring the firm's services align with client needs. Collaboration across teams is essential to develop strategies that enhance market presence and reputation.
Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute a targeted business development strategy for the industrial sector.
- Analyze market trends, client needs, and competitive landscapes to uncover growth opportunities.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Serve as the primary contact for industrial sector clients, ensuring superior service delivery.
- Advocate for client goals and objectives to internal teams to ensure satisfaction.
- Leadership and Team Collaboration:
- Mentor colleagues at all levels, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge sharing.
- Work closely with marketing, project management, and technical teams to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build visibility and connections.
- Revenue and Performance Goals:
- Meet or exceed established revenue targets and profitability goals.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business development success.
- Provide regular updates and actionable insights to the executive leadership team.
- Industry Expertise:
- Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and technological advancements, particularly in environmental compliance and remediation.
- Contribute to thought leadership through publications, panel discussions, and industry events.
- Position the firm as a leader in industrial architecture, engineering, and environmental solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, environmental science, geology, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the construction or environmental consulting industry.
- Proven expertise in environmental compliance, remediation, hazardous waste management, and consulting.
- Strong network of industry contacts within manufacturing, logistics, and energy sectors.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on delivering value-driven solutions.
