Job Title: Fitter Helper
Location: Lockport, LA
General Function:
The Fitter Helper provides hands-on assistance to an assigned fitter or welder. This role involves performing a variety of tasks as directed by the craftsman, which include but are not limited to tacking and grinding, procuring tools and supplies, and positioning components for fitting or welding.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist fitter or welder with any duties required to complete tasks.
- Perform tacking and grinding as instructed.
- Procure and prepare tools, equipment, and supplies needed for the job.
- Help position and secure components for fitting or welding.
- Ensure the work area remains organized and safe during operations.
Requirements:
- Three (3) months of marine or industrial experience in a similar position.
