- A relevant Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of professional experience and skill related to Logistics/Warehouse operations OR a relevant Certificate and five (5) years of occupational experience and skill related to Logistics/Warehouse operations.
- Prior experience in training or teaching is highly desirable.
- OSHA Forklift Trainer Certification required or must be willing to obtain certification within the first four weeks of employment.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and Logistics/Warehouse operation safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop engaging training materials and presentations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management System, web browsers, and online Logistics/Warehouse training platforms).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel to various locations within Northwest Louisiana.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate training sessions at different times and locations.
- Ability to pass a background check as required by Bossier Parish Community College.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must have use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, and handle or feel objects and controls.
- Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
- Capable of lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on demonstrations.

Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Logistics/Warehouse Operations Training Instructor to join our team. The instructor will be responsible for delivering comprehensive Logistics/Warehouse Operations training to individuals on BPCC campuses and at various correctional facilities throughout Northwest Louisiana. The ideal candidate will emphasize safety and proper equipment handling in all lessons, ensuring students acquire the necessary skills to operate as Logistics/Warehouse Operations specialist proficiently and safely in various industrial and commercial environments. This role requires a high degree of flexibility in scheduling and a willingness to travel to various training locations.
- Evaluates students' progress and provides appropriate feedback.
- Prepares, maintains and submits accurate attendance records, reports, class rosters and grades established by institutional policy.
- Provide hands-on instruction and practical training to create an engaging learning environment.
- Provides instruction to adult learners with varying educational levels, abilities, and backgrounds and can appropriately adapt and deliver material to the multiple experience levels.
- Uses appropriate technology to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Utilizes a course syllabus for each course taught following established institutional guidelines.
- Makes recommendations for program improvements as appropriate and required. Interfaces regularly with project team and other instructors and attends scheduled meetings.
- Maintains confidentiality of student records and other sensitive subject matter Works assigned schedule and exhibits regular and predictable attendance.
- Able to teach hands-on forklift training.
- Able to become a Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) Certified Logistics Associate and Certified Logistics Technician (CLA/CLT) certified instructor.
- Performs other related duties as required including attending other training as required.
