Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving and the ability to handle heavy lifting and warehouse tasks as needed.
Duties
- Operate vehicles, including vans and trucks, to deliver products to designated locations.
- Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any questions or concerns from clients during delivery.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory management and organization of goods.
Skills
- Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience in warehouse environments, including familiarity with heavy lifting techniques.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of route driving practices and navigation tools.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
