Job Summary: The Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) Technician will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of VFDs in various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and be proficient in diagnosing and resolving issues related to VFDs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and commission Variable Frequency Drives in industrial settings.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on VFDs to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot VFD-related issues, including electrical and programming faults.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement VFD solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to customers and staff on VFD operation and maintenance.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electrical engineering or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience working with Variable Frequency Drives in an industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and VFD-related issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear instructions and support to customers and team members.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with various brands and models of VFDs.
- Knowledge of motor control and drive systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment as needed.
- Comfortable working in various industrial environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
