Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team. We are looking for part time and full time help. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has a passion for farming and living close to the land. We do not use any chemicals, we are an all natural, traditional farm. This position includes an endless variety of tasking from weed eating and maintaining fence lines to doing dishes and milking cows. If you have experience with hand tools, farm machinery, and animal handling, and are willing to learn, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Assist with daily animal care tasks such as feeding, milking, transporting water, building temporary fencing, etc.
-washing, and maintaining equipment, tractors- mowers -weedeaters- bushhogging, etc.
- Maintain the farm's orchard and grounds : watering, mulching, pruning, and weeding.
- Operate farm machinery and equipment, including tractors, weed eaters, mowers, bush hogs, endless attachments.
- Perform general farm maintenance tasks, including repairing fences and fixing farm equipment.
- Use hand tools to complete various farm-related tasks.
- Collaborate with other farm staff members to achieve overall farm goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working on a farm or with farm animals is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as work in a physically demanding environment. ability to work in the elements- rain and extreme heat.
- Basic knowledge of animal husbandry and animal care practices.
- Familiarity with hand tools and farm machinery.
- Comfortable working with power tools and operating farm equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with gardening and crop maintenance is a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $19.00 per hour
