We’re seeking a dynamic individual to manage two Homeowners Associations (HOAs) while providing essential assistance to the Asset Manager for a private equity investment firm specializing in multifamily properties. About the Role:
This unique position offers flexibility in work hours and location, allowing for remote and work-from-home opportunities. The role also involves weekly travel to HOA sites in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, with quarterly travel to the 10 properties located along I10 from Nederland, TX, to Slidell, LA.
Key Responsibilities:
HOA Management:
- Manage three HOAs, including:
- A 142-unit condo/hotel/short-term rental HOA in downtown New Orleans.
- A 234-unit condo HOA in the Bocage neighborhood of Baton Rouge.
- Serving as a board member for a Baton Rouge HOA, managing 44 owned condos in a 174-unit community.
- Organize and conduct HOA meetings.
- Engage with owners, investors, and residents, addressing inquiries and providing timely communication.
- Oversee dues collection and ensure compliance with HOA financial requirements.
- Assess and allocate budgets for capital expenditures and necessary repairs.
- Optimize operational efficiencies and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assistant Asset Manager Duties:
- Support the Asset Manager with day-to-day tasks, such as:
- Data management and reporting.
- Overseeing and maintaining the insurance portfolio.
- Tracking marketing campaigns and performance metrics.
- Preparing investor updates and reports.
- Assisting with budget preparation and review.
- Auditing processes and ensuring adherence to SOPs.
- Optimizing expenses and securing better contracts or pricing on procurement or services
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-starter and problem solver
- Proficiency in data management tools and software (Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience in Real Estate, Residential Property Management, or HOA Management is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and financial acumen
- AppFolio software experience is a plus
- Ability to travel to HOA sites regularly (one a month) and portfolio locations quarterly.
