The Ryland Law Firm is seeking a full time associate attorney with a MINIMUM of 4 years experience in plaintiff personal injury law. Must have a JD from an ABA accredited law school. If admitted to practice, candidates must be in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association. Duties to include: drafting and finalizing correspondence and pleadings; meeting with clients; preparing discovery and discovery responses; document management; preparing for depositions, mediation, common court appearances and trial. Candidate must have a knowledge of court websites and research skills and be familiar with the federal and state rules of procedure. Legal research, writing, organizational skills, possess superb verbal, grammar and writing skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, positive attitude and good work ethic. Ability to convey legal concepts to attorneys and lay persons alike. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with a diverse group of people, including attorneys and pro se parties. Ability to work in an efficient, organized, and timely manner. A motivated and goal-oriented professional is required. Must be able to independently analyze and apply law relevant to client issues.
