Job Title: Sr. HR Director – Manufacturing & Labor Relations

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Director to lead HR operations across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate must have manufacturing industry experience, a strong background in union avoidance, and expertise in multi-site HR management. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive workforce initiatives, ensure compliance, and support business objectives through effective HR strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic consultation to management on staffing, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, and labor relations.
- Develop and manage HR initiatives aligned with company operational goals.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop HR personnel.
- Partner with leadership on employee transactions, including hiring, promotions, demotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Monitor key HR metrics and identify solutions for any negative trends.
- Ensure compliance with affirmative action programs and legal requirements.
- Plan and manage all HR-related activities for multiple facilities.
- Develop, update, and implement compensation programs, job descriptions, and performance evaluation systems.
- Establish and maintain company policies and procedures.
- Manage internal and external training and development programs.
- Oversee exempt-level recruitment efforts.
- Monitor career development and performance management programs.
- Maintain organizational charts and participate in administrative and industry-related meetings.
- Continuously assess and improve HR policies, procedures, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in union avoidance and labor relations.
- Experience managing HR operations for multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and employment laws.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
