As a Landscape Manager, you will oversee all landscaping operations across multiple apartment properties. You will lead a team of Landscape Supervisors and ensure that all grounds and outdoor areas are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe for residents. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires both managerial skills and horticultural expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of Landscape Supervisors
- Develop and implement landscaping maintenance schedules
- Ensure proper care of lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and irrigation systems
- Oversee landscape installations, renovations, and seasonal plantings
- Monitor budgets, equipment, and supplies for landscaping operations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
- Collaborate with property managers to enhance curb appeal and resident satisfaction
Qualifications
- 3-5 years horticultural management experience; or, 2-3 years of experience in horticultural management with related college degree.
- Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Horticultural License or acquisition of license within 6 months.
- Proven leadership experience with direct reports
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between properties as needed
