Job Description Summary
- Responsible for the oversight of all US Prolec sites tax functions
- Preparation and filing of federal and SALT income tax returns
- Approval and oversight of sales/use tax, property tax and payroll tax functions
- Assist with projects/grants at the federal level
- Assistance with import/export analysis
Roles and Responsibilities
- Income tax preparation and filing at both the state and federal level
- Sales/use tax knowledge, to include oversight of the perparation and filing of returns
- Property tax knowledge, to include oversight of the preparation and filing of returns
- Payroll tax knowledge, to include oversight of the preparation and filing of returns, both at the state and federal level
- Research new ways to reduce company's tax burden
- Assistance with obtaining federal tax credits
- Assistance with the firm's import/export functions
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance, Master's degree preferred
- Public Accounting experience preferred
- Must have 5 years corporate income tax preparation experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
